…is my TWO FRONT TEETH!
I’ve been photographing these girls for years – since the youngest was 18 months old in fact. Holy Cow that is a long time! One of my favorite things about their mom is that their last couple of sessions have been scheduled based on her girls’ missing teeth. She emailed me a month ago to let me know that the last front tooth was hanging by a thread and to get ready because she needed a session. It was almost like being on call for a newborn session.
I knew we would be doing this session in doors and I was really excited to use their bedrooms. Both girls have very cool rooms with gorgeous color on the walls. And, each room is a perfect representation of their personalities. So, we decided to have some fun which included a little jumping on the bed.

It’s Official! {Belleville IL Photographer}

What an honor to be able to photograph this very special celebration – H’s Adoption Party! The K Family’s adoption of this sweet and adorable boy became official a couple of weeks ago and they threw quite a party to celebrate. Family and friends were there, many of whom were wearing their hanboks. The food was gorgeous and smelled fabulous. H’s big sisters and mom sang him a very special Happy Adoption Day song and his dad put together a very sweet video of H’s first year with his foster family in Korea.

Ooh I just love the late afternoon light this time of year! It truly makes for beautiful photography. I had a great time with this family – Miss S. seemed to really enjoy all of the fun things we did during our session. I had so many favorites, it was hard to pick which ones to preview on my blog. My Life {O’Fallon IL Photographer}

I don’t often post images of my kids on my blog because it is nearly impossible to photograph them most of the time. In years past I have shed tears, and those were not tears of joy. However, this time it was different. They completely cooperated with me and I teared up a little bit when I reviewed the images when we got home. I am sure it helped that we had a gorgeous location full of fun things for them to do. We visited a beautiful farm with lots of chickens. Henry had a blast watching them and checking out the large selection of tractors. Helen wanted to spend her time playing with all of the kittens that live there too.
Here are some of my favorites. I can’t wait to put this first one above my fireplace.

Together {Belleville IL Photographer}

I’ve worked with this family for a long time – see those 2 little ones in the images below? I got to photograph both of them as newborns. So, I was looking forward to this session when I could spend time really photographing them as a family.
